91 Etappe Teil 1 | Motueka —> Takaka <—> Cape Farewell 197km

Der morgen startete ganz gemächlich mit einem ausgiebigen Frühstück | dann machten wir uns auf den Weg ins Zentrum, da fand der Sonntagsmarkt statt | dort gab es alles was das Herz begehrt | von Obst/Gemüse, Pflanzen, Kleidung und Schmuck, Büchern und CD’s | die Stimmung und das Wetter waren total gut | wir schlenderten über den Markt, Axel fand ein paar Bücher und ich einige super CD’s für unser Auto | außerdem gab es eine Bäckerei mit richtigem Sauerteigbrot, da gönnten wir uns gleich mal ein Laib | anschließend fuhren wir weiter hoch nach Takaka | ein kurviger und steiler Weg mit spektakulären Ausblicken auf den Abel Tasman Nationalpark | wir finden einen schönen Campingplatz direkt am Fluss gelegen | wir genießen das schöne Wetter, sitzen den restlichen Tag am Fluss und „baden“ | heißt wir tauchten kurz unter, da es schweinekalt ist | es war dann auch noch viel los, ein deutscher blieb 3!!! mal mit seinem gemieteten Bus in den steinen am Fluss stecken | dann wollte ihm ein 4x4 Pick-up helfen, der durch Dummheit dann auch noch steckenblieb | dann half eine Kiwi-Familie, bzw. der Mann zog beide mit seinem 4x4 raus, das klappte | die zwei Kiwi-Familien standen neben uns und waren total freundlich | deren Kinder spielten ewig im Fluss, obwohl der so kalt war, richtige Naturkinder | später lernten wir noch ein älteres Schweizer Paar kennen, die ihren Sohn im Austauschjahr in Neuseeland besuchten | in der Nacht stieg der Flusswasserspiegel an | so mussten wir ein Auto warnen, welches sehr nah am Wasser (fast schon im Wasser) stand | am nächsten morgen genossen wir einen schönen Sonnenaufgang am Fluss und fuhren dann in den Ort Takaka | dort wollten wir einige Sachen erledigen (Blog bearbeiten, polizeiliches Führungszeugnis für Kanada beantragen etc) | wir bauchen jedoch eine Beglaubigung für den Antrag des Führungszeugnisses | wir gingen auf gut Glück zur Polizeistation, wo uns das ein Polizist unterschrieb obwohl alles auf deutsch dransteht | Axel übersetzte es ihm, so ist das in Neuseeland | anschließend wollen wir weiter zum Cape Farewell dem nordwestlichen Punkts Neuseelands fahren | dabei nehmen wir ein türkisches Paar mit (deren Ziel ein Wanderweg darunter ist) | die zwei sind total lieb, leben schon seit 6 Jahren in Neuseeland und haben uns zu ihnen nach Auckland eingeladen | das nehmen wir dankend an, bevor wir im März von Auckland zurück fliegen müssen | am Cape farewell angekommen, gibt es einen Wanderweg zum Strand „Whahiriki“ | der Weg ist echt krass, ziemlich steil an den Klippen entlang, zwischen Schafsherden durch mit wahnsinnig schönen Ausblicken | der Strand ist auch schön, aber halt ein weiterer Strand | dort finden wir nicht wirklich einen schönen Stellplatz, so schliefen wir noch eine weitere Nacht an dem Platz am Fluss 

The morning started smooth with a big breakfast | then we went to the centre, there was the Sunday market | there you can find what you want/need | from fruits/vegetable, plants, clothes and jewelry, books and CD’s | the mood at the market and the weather was pretty good | we walked over the marked, Axel found some books and I CD’s for our car | although there was a bakery with really german sourdough bread, what we bought | afterwards we drove further up to the town Takaka | a curvy and steep drive with a spectacular view of the Abel Tasman Nationalpark | we found a nice camping spot at the river | we enjoyed the sunny weather, sit the rest of the day at the river and take a bath | means: we go quick in and out of the water because it was really ice cold | then we had free cinema, a german guy stuck with his car in the stones at the river | then a 4x4 truck wanted to help him, who stuck also because he was stupid | then a Kiwi-family helped to get the both stucked cars out | the two Kiwi-familys were standing beside us and were totally friendly | their kids played a long time in the river, although it was very cold, real nature kids | later we met also a Swiss couple, who visited their son on the school year in New Zealand | during the night the the water level from the river comes up | so we had to warn a car, which was standing very close to  the water (nearly in the water) | at next day we enjoyed a beautiful sunrise at the river and drove then to the town Takaka | there we wanted to organize some stuff (to edit  the blog, apply for the police certificate for Canada etc) | therefore we need a certification to apply for the police certificate | we go to a police station, where a police officer signed the paper although everything was standing there in german | Axel translated it for him, so it is in New Zealand | after that we want to drive further to Cape Farewell, the northeastern point of New Zealand | on the way we pick up a Turkish couple (wanted to go hiking in this area) | the both are totally sweet, living since 6 years in NZ and invited us to visit there on our way back to Auckland | we accepted this thankful before we have to fly back from Auckland in March | arrived at cape farewell, there was a beautiful hiking track to the beach „Whahiriki“ | the track is heavy, quite steep and along the cliffs, between sheep herds with amazing views | the beach is also wonderful, but another beach | near the cape we didn’t find a nice sleeping place, so we sleep another night at the river from yesterday
