103 Etappe | Mt. Cook --> Kaikoura 470km

Wir verlassen den wunderschönen Ort am Pukaki See | aber wir wollten ja auch endlich unsere helpX Stelle in Kaikoura erreichen (wo wir für Unterkunft und Essen arbeiten) | die Strecke nach Christchurch zog sich aber ewig | wir kamen total gestresst und müde in der Stadt, die durch große Erdbeben ziemlich zerstört wurde, an | wir hetzten nur zur Bücherei und erledigten Sachen für unser Workvisa in Kanada | die Stadt sah ziemlich abgefucked aus, vor allem auch die Leute die dort so unterwegs sind | es ist beeindruckend, wie das Leben nach so großen Naturgewalten weitergeht | sowas kann wohl nur das neuseeländische Gemüt | um die Stadt rum fanden wir keinen Schlafplatz, so fuhren wir noch weitere 100 Kilometer Richtung Kaikoura | dort fanden wir dann auf dem Land einen ruhigen Platz mit netten englischen Nachbarn | am nächsten Morgen fuhren wir zeitig los, damit wir gegen mittag bei Alison, unserer Arbeitgeberin, ankommen | auch Kaikoura ist durch das große Erdbeben im November stark betroffen gewesen | das konnten wir auch auf dem Weg durch die ganzen Baustellen sehen | die kleine Stadt ist trotz der Zerstörung total schön und hat Charme | das Bed & Breakfast von Alison ist ein paar Kilometer außerhalb der kleinen Stadt | wir genießen die Idylle als wir dort ankamen | zusammen mit uns arbeitete dort auch Lucy, eine Französin | mit ihr verstanden wir uns auf Anhieb und hatten viel Spaß | Alison ist super und wir fühlten uns total wohl in ihrer Gesellschaft | die Nachbarschaft ist wunderbar, wir wurden sofort mit eingebunden und waren willkommen | die erste Woche schliefen wir bei Alison Nachbarn, und halfen dafür in ihrem Haushalt | wir lernten die lebenslustige, chillige und unerschütterte Freundlichkeit der Neuseeländer kennen | wir freuen uns die weitere Zeit dort zu verbringen 

We left the beautiful place at the pukaki lake | but we wanted finally arrive at the helpX place in Kaikoura (where we will work for accommodation and food) | the route to Kaikoura took us a long time | we arrived this city, which is destroyed because of the big earthquakes, totally stressed and tired | we run only to the library to organize the visa stuff for Canada | the town looked fucked up especially the people there | it's impressive, how the life can go on after the big forces of nature | that's only possible because of the New Zealand mentality | we found no sleeping place around the city, so we drove further 100km outside direction Kaikoura | there we found a nice spot in the back country, quiet with friendly neighbors from the UK | at the next morning we started early, that we arrive the helpX host not so late | also Kaikoura is strong affected by the earthquake last November | we could see that because of lot constructions on our way | the little town is despite of the destruction beautiful and has Charme | the bed&breakfast of Alison is few kilometers away from town | we enjoyed the idyllic when we arrived there | we will work there together with Lucy, a french girl | we like each other and have a lot of fun together | Alison is great and we felt comfy in her society | the neighbors are lovely, we were welcome from the beginning | the first week we slept at the house from Alison neighbors (Ian&Jacky) | therefore we helped in their house | we experienced the cheerful, chill and unshaken friendliness  from the New Zealanders | we are glad to be there and spend more time
