109 Etappe | Vancouver —> Ucluelet 250km

Etwas zerstört nach dem Abschiedsabend packen wir alles zusammen und dann ins Auto | das hatten wir für die eine Nacht im Parkhaus zwei Straßen weiter geparkt | es regnete die ganze Woche in Vancouver bis auf einen Tag und zwei Abende | das nervt ganz schön und ist kalt | der Weg zur Fähre ist total schön und ein langes Stück durch einen tollen Park am Rande von Vancouver | als wir dann nach 2 Stunden Fährfahrt auf Vancouver Island ankamen regnete es in strömen | die weitere Fahrt war dann sehr anstrengend wegen des Regens plus richtig schlechter und kurviger Straße | wir fanden dann einen schönen Campingplatz am „Sproat Lake“ mit Toilette | wir verbrachten den ersten Abend dann hauptsächlich im Van weil es so kalt und nass war | nach einem ausgiebigen Frühstück und einem kleinen Plausch mit unseren deutschen Nachbarn fuhren wir weiter Richtung Tofino | wir fanden dann zwischen Tofino und Ucluelet einen Campingplatz mit Whirlpool und Sauna | dort wärmten wir uns dann erstmal auf nach der langen Fahrt und ließen den Abend ruhig ausklingen | am nächsten Tag ging es dann los mit Jobsuche, welches sich anfangs erschwerlich gestaltete | nach dem nicht erfolgreichen Tag fanden wir dafür aber einen Campingplatz, auf dem wir für 3 Monate leben können | wir schlossen sofort Kontakt zu unseren Nachbarn, wir fühlten uns sofort willkommen und wohl | der Campbesitzer Mike hat sogar eine kleine Hütte für uns in Aussicht, weil da einer auszieht | ich fand nach Tag 2 gleich einen Job in einem Resort und putze dort die Zimmer | das Resort ist sehr schön und die Kollegen freundlich und crazy | Axel hat sich erstmal ein Surfbrett zum probieren gemietet und ging den nächsten Tag gleich zweimal surfen | das Wasser war aber schweinekalt und ohne Haube und Handschuhe kaum zu schaffen | den Tag darauf hatte Axel dann sein Vorstellungsgespräch bei der Firma „Smashing Glasses“ einer Vermietungsfirma für Hochzeiten und andere Veranstaltungen | er bekommt den Job, superklasse | den Abend verbrachten wir mit unseren Nachbarn, alle verstehen sich super | und nächste Woche können wir in die kleine Hütte umziehen yehaaaaa

A bit destroyed from the saying goodbye evening we packed all our stuff in the car | we parked that in a parking lot two streets further from the hostel | it rained the whole week except of one day and two evenings | that goes on our nerves and was cold | the way to the ferry was totally beautiful and a long part through a nice park at the end of Vancouver | as we arrived at Vancouver Island after two hours it rained much more | the further drive was exhausting because of the rain and really bad and windy road | we found a nice Campingspot at the „Sproat Lake“ with toilets | we spent the verst evening mostly in the van because it was so cold and wet | after a big breakfast and a talk with our german neighbors we drove further in direction Tofino | we found a Campingspot between Tofino and Ucuelet with hot tub and Sauna | there we warmed us up after the long ride and let the evening end chill | at the next day we started with the job search, what looks kind of difficult | after the not successful day we found therefore a campground where we can stay for the next three months | we directly get in contact with our neighbors and felt welcome and comfortable | the owner Mike had maybe a little cabin for us, because the person in there moves out | I found a job after the second day at a resort, to clean the rooms | the resort is beautiful and the colleges friendly and crazy | Axel rented first a surfboard to tray and went on the next day two times | the water was so cold and without hoodie and gloves nearly not doable | the day after had Axel a job interview at „Smashing glasses“, a rental company for Weddings and other events | he got the job, very cool | we spent the evening with our neighbors, everybody gets along well with each other | and next week we can move in the cabin, yehaaaaaa
