82 Etappe | Karipapango --> Whakapapa 190 Km

Am morgen wurden wir von hunderten von Sandfliegen belagert | es war so schlimm, dass wir dort nicht frühstücken konnten | also fuhren wir sofort los, weiter Richtung Tongariro Nationalpark | auf dem Weg dorthin fanden wir einen schönen Platz zum frühstücken, mit Ausblick auf einen schneebedeckten Berg | direkt daneben eine Wiese mit Schafherde, sehr idyllisch | dann war es an der Zeit, dass Hans mal fahren wollte | Axels Herz ist dabei ein paar mal in die Hose gerutscht | war auch für Hans anstrengend mit dem links fahren | unser Ziel war ein Campingplatz in der Nähe des Nationalparks | der war ein bisschen teurer, dafür aber mit Duschen, einer Küche und einem Gemeinschaftsraum mit Blick auf den schneebedeckten Berg Ruapehu | da es mir immer noch nicht gut ging, fuhr Axel mit den Eltern zum Nationalpark | dort konnten sie mit dem Skilift fast auf den Gipfel fahren und den schönen Ausblick genießen | später waren wir mit unseren Schweizer Nachbarn in guter Gesellschaft und quatschten noch länger 

In the morning we were besieged by hundreds of sandflies | it was so horrible, that we couldn't make a breakfast there | so we drove to the Tongariro national park | on the way we found a nice place to make breakfast, with view on a snow covered mountain | directly beside there was a meadow with sheep, very idyllic | then there came the time when Hans want to drive | Axel's heart has slipped a few times into the pants | it was also exhausted for Hans to drive on the left side | our destination was a campground near by the national park | it was a quite expensive, but for this with shower, a kitchen and a common room with view on the snow covered mountain Ruapehu | because I'm still ill, Axel drove with the parents to the national park | there they could take the ski lift to the top and enjoyed the beautiful view | later we were in good company with our Swiss neighbors, and chatter for a while
