86 Etappe | Porirua <—>Wellington—>Picton(Ferry)—>Whatamango bay—>Nelson—>Motueka Valley—>Motueka 391,5km

Wieder ganz in der früh fahren wir im strömenden Regen nach Wellington, denn die Rückfahrt der Eltern steht an | sie entschieden sich mit dem Zug nach Auckland zurück zu fahren, da das Wetter in Wellington so unbeständig ist (Flugausfälle etc.) | der Abschied ist traurig, die 3 Wochen sind sehr schnell vergangen | wir haben die Zeit mit den Eltern genossen | der Zug hat sogar eine Aussichtsplattform, so hoffen wir dass das Wetter besser wird | Axel und ich kauften auch gleich das Ticket für die Fähre am nächsten Tag | wir verbrachten den restlichen Tag am Zeltplatz mit Auto auf- und umräumen, Vorhänge nähen, Hühnersuppe kochen (ich war immer noch krank) usw. | wir lernen einen Thüringer (Chaplin) kennen, der neben uns steht, supernetter Typ | wir quatschen den Abend und frühstückten am nächsten morgen noch zusammen | schade, dass er in den Norden und wir in den Süden fahren | wir haben einen Termin in drei Tagen mit einem self-contained Officer vereinbart | d.h. wenn wir das Auto korrekt ausstatten (portable Toilette, Abwassertank, Waschbecken etc.) können wir an ausgewiesenen Plätzen umsonst stehen | am Nachmittag geht unsere Fähre nach Picton, leider weiter mit viel Regen | die Aussicht ist trotzdem bombastisch als wir auf die Südinsel zusteuern | wir schlafen an der Whatamango bay, wunderschön aber weiterhin Regen und krasser Wind | am nächsten Tag fuhren wir bei Regen weiter nach Nelson und stehen bei einem nicht so schönem aber kostenlosen Parkplatz mitten in der Stadt | am Abend kam noch etwas die Sonne raus, so konnten wir draußen Essen | ziemlich zeitig am nächsten morgen fahren wir in die Kleinstadt Richmond zum Termin mit dem self-contained Officer | lief alles glatt, wir bekommen die Zertifizierung, dauert nur ca. 10 Tage für den Papierkram | wir bekamen aber schon einen Sticker und die Kopie des Formulars, das wir jetzt schon auf den kostenlosen Plätzen stehen dürfen | dann gings raus aus der Stadt und wir nahmen zwei brasilianische Tramper mit | wir stehen außerhalb von Motueka an einem idyllischem Stellplatz am Fluss | am nächsten Tag machen wir uns auf nach Motueka um uns für den Track im Abel Tasman Nationalpark kundig zu machen | die Frau im Besucherzentrum (isite) hilft uns super weiter, so haben wir drei Nächte vorgebucht und können morgen starten | das Wetter soll wohl super werden die nächsten 8 Tage | wir schlafen diese Nacht am Hafen von Motueka, mit Kaltdusche und Salzwasserpool am Meer | nachdem wir alles für den Track zusammengepackt hatten gehen wir auch zeitig schlafen | aber erst nachdem wir uns voll mit unseren deutschen Nachbarn (Lisa+Matze) verquatscht haben 

Again early in the morning we drove to Wellington with heavy rain, because the have to go back to Auckland and fly back home | they decide to take the train, because the weather in Wellington is changeable (cancelled flights) | to say goodbye is sad, the 3 weeks passed very fast | we enjoyed the time with the parents a lot | the train had also a viewing platform, we hope that the weather will be getting better | Axel and I bought the ferry ticket for the next day | we spent the rest of the day at the campground with rearrange and tidy up the car, sewing curtains, cooking a chicken soup (I was still ill) etc. | we met a guy from germany (Chaplin), who stands next to us, very cool guy | we talked the evening and had a breakfast together at the next morning | sad, that he want to drive to the north and we to the south | we arranged an appointment with an officer for the self-containment in three days | that means if we equip the car correct (portable toilet, grey water tank, sink etc.) we can stay at special campgrounds for free | at afternoon we took the ferry to picton, unfortunately with much rain | although the view is beautiful when we come to the south island | we slept at the Whatamango bay, amazing but more rain and heavy wind | at the next day we drove in the rain further to Nelson and stay at a not so beautiful but parking place for free in the centre | at the evening the sun comes a little bit up, so we could eat and cook outside | we drove very early to the near little town Richmond next day for the appointment with the self-contained officer | it works all good and we got the certificate, but it will take 10 days till we get the paperwork | we got already the sticker for the back and a copy from the document, so we are already allowed to stay at the free campgrounds | then we drove outside the city and pick up two hitch-hikers from Brazil | we stay outside from Motueka at a idyllic campground on a river | next day we went to the visitor centre and wanted to have information about the track in the Abel Tasman Nationalpark | the woman at the visitor centre (isite) helped us and booked 3 nights, so we can start tomorrow | the weather will be getting nice the next 8 days | we slept this night at the port from Motueka, with cold shower and a saltwaterpool at the ocean | after we packed alls stuff for the track together we go to bed | but first we talked a long time with our german neighbors (Lisa+Matze)
